
Ana Gorjanc
2nd Prize & Special Award Winner
Ana Gorjanc (2000) began her musical journey at the Kranj Music School (Slovenia) under Prof. Nataša Bogataj. She continued her education at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana with Prof. Igor Saje, where she received the Škerjanec Award. She is a recipient of the Young Hopes scholarship of Triglav insurance company.
In July 2023, she completed her undergraduate studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Vigo (Spain) with Prof. Margarita Escarpa. During her studies in Spain, she performed concerts and won awards at competitons in Montenegro, Spain and Slovenia. She recorded a concert with Music Youth Ljubljana and performed at Egta‘s day.
In October 2025, she completed her master’s degree at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria) with Prof. Laura Young. She won second place at the Velespaña Competition in Velenje, Slovenia, 1st prize at Slovene national competition TEMSIG, first prize at the Guitar Days in Krško, Slovenia. At IGC Ida Presti, 2026 in Samobor, Croatia, she won the 2nd prize and was also awarded with the Special prize for the best interpretation of a piece by Ida Presti. For several years, she was part of the Women’s Voices project and Live Music Now Salzburg, performed a concert cycle with Music youth Slovenia, and appeared at the Ljubljana Festival, Guitar Week in Postojna, the Lago d’Orta Festival in Italy, and the GitarISTRA Festival in Croatia. In collaboration with the Mozarteum University, she released her first album Homage to Art. She recorded her repertoire with RTV Slovenia and performed Dyens' Concerto en Si with guitar orchestra of Ljubljana Academy of Music.
Together with guitarist Staš Čakš she performes in duo AdArt. They received prizes at Altamira competition in Gorizia, Italy, Ze Gregorio competition in Lagoa, Portugal, Martinez competition in Iserlohn, Germany, Jornadas internacionales de guitarra in Elda, Spain, Paganini festival in Parma, Italy and Savarez-Corelli competition in Salzburg, Austria. Duo performed concerts at festivals like Jornadas internacionales de Elda, Rasgueado festival, Lent festival and Rok's summer festival, Slovenia.
She is currently enrolled in a pedagogical master’s program at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Prof. Tomaž Rajterič and teaches at the private music school Arsem in Ljubljana.
