
Antonio Kolovrat

Antonio Kolovrat was born on May 10, 1998, in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. He began his musical education at the Slavonski Brod Music School, studying first under Professor Zdenka Seletković and later under Professor Mirela Jagodić. He completed his secondary music education at the Pavle Markovac Music School in Zagreb, in the class of Professor Xhevdet Sahatxhija.
Most recently, at the 5th International Guitar Competition "Ida Presti" in 2026, Antonio won the Audience Award and stood out as the only Croatian guitarist among the five finalists. Throughout his career and education, he has earned numerous other top accolades at both national and international competitions. At the Croatian National Competition for Music and Dance Students, he won three 1st prizes, one 2nd prize, and two 3rd prizes. On the international stage, his notable achievements include Gold Plaques at the Murska Sobota Guitar Festival (2008 and 2010), 1st prize at the Concorso Europeo di Chitarra "Città di Gorizia" (2009), as well as top placements at the Poreč Tirando, the Andrés Segovia Competition in Velbert, the Peja International Guitar Festival (Kosovo), and the Zagreb Guitar Festival, where he repeatedly secured 1st and 2nd prizes. As a chamber musician, performing in duos and trios, he achieved significant success, including 1st prize at the Zagreb Guitar Festival in 2016.
Antonio has given solo recitals in Slavonski Brod, Osijek, Marija Bistrica, Belišće, Zagreb, and Graz. He has further refined his artistry in masterclasses with distinguished guitarists, including Xhevdet Sahatxhija, Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Marko Feri, Paolo Pegoraro, Ehat Musa, Carlo Marchione, Luciano Contini, Darko Petrinjak, Petrit Çeku, and Gabriel Bianco.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2020 from the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek under Professor Marko Feri, and completed his Master’s degree in 2025 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) in the class of Łukasz Kuropaczewski.
